Show up, do the work everyday

Written by Michael Lee on April 25, 2017

I love this short article by Chris Coyier. In it he shares this formula:

Mediocre ideas, showing up, and persistence.

Simple and yet, so hard to follow. It’s easy to let other ideas bounce in front of you and distract you. It’s easy to let life happen and then eventually eclipse that cool idea you had. It’s easy to get discouraged when it feels like no one cares about what you’re doing.

Keep doing it until you’ve done everything you set out to do and everyone and their mom knows it.

I love this line, because it reveals Chris’ tenacity and I’m thankful for it. Without it there would be no CSS-Tricks or CodePen. Both of which I have enjoyed in my career as a programmer.

Thanks for taking the time to read this article. I'd love to stay in touch and share more tips on programming and design, side projects and working remotely. Sign up and I'll send you my articles straight to your email.

 Hey hey, I'm Michael Lee! I really appreciate you taking the time to read this article.
