New pages: Tools of the Trade + Thanks!

Written on July 21, 2016

For a while now I’ve wanted to add a couple of pages to my site, Tools of the Trade and Thanks!

:wrench: Tools of the Trade

Tools of the Trade is an ever-evolving page of the tools that I use on a day to day basis. Whether it’s to keep this website running, getting work done as a developer or juggling life as a husband and father; these are the tools — usually mobile apps and services — that I use.

I’ve always enjoyed reading about what others carry around in their utility belt of life, so I thought I’d share what’s in my tool belt for anyone who is interested.

 Thanks!

Behind every app or service that I use, I know there are real people. The Thanks! page is my way of simply acknowledging their hard work and for building things that have brought value to my life, in one way or another. I often try to say thanks on Twitter or shoot them an email directly, but I thought I also publicly thank them.

If you find yourself using some really rad piece of software, take a couple of minutes to shoot an email or tweet to thank the awesome folks behind it. Your thanks might make their day and fuel them to keep making cool stuff.
